The Short Sale Register (SSR) ssr.finanstilsynet.no, and the connected authentication service (Auth) auth.finanstilsynet.no, is used to enable reporting of short positions to the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway.

It is the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway, represented by the director, who is responsible for the processing of the personal information collected through these sites.

This statement contains information you are entitled to in accordance with the Personal Data Act §18-1 and §19.

Should you choose to register as a user of the Short Sale Register, The Financial Supervisory Authority will ask you to provide personal information, including name, address, phone number, email, country of residence, and equivalent information about any natural or legal persons you intend to report short positions on behalf of. This information is used to ensure that the positions reported are legitimate, and to support reporting of positions to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).

Personal information that is provided to The Financial Supervisory Authority is encrypted before transmission using HTTPS, and is stored in encrypted form in our databases.
